Meet the 2016 Edison Scholars

Edison International provides $40,000 Edison Scholars scholarships to 30 students each year living or studying in Southern California Edison’s service territory. 

Smiles and tears filled school classrooms, libraries and theaters across SCE's service territory as the 2016 Edison Scholars were surprised with a $40,000 check. We followed along to capture the stories of the surprise announcements. Apply here for a 2017 Edison Scholars scholarship by Feb. 1.

Application Details for Future Scholars
We’re looking for students with big dreams eager to help power the future. Check out the information below and be sure to carefully read the full details in the application before applying.

The Must Knows
Edison Scholars applicants must be a current high school senior with 3.0 GPA or higher and living in or attending school in an area serviced by Southern California Edison.

They must plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S and majoring in electrical, mechanical, civil, computer, industrial or environmental engineering, along with environmental sciences and computer information systems.

Students who can demonstrate financial need are preferred, especially first-generation college students who have overcome significant challenges.

Applications for 2017 Edison Scholars scholarships are due Feb. 1. Apply here.
